
Operation School Bell
The Operation School Bell® philanthropy program is Assistance League’s signature program. Individual chapters research specific needs in their local communities; then develop, fund and implement programs that support children in need.
The Assistance League of Capistrano Valley’s Operation School Bell® philanthropy promotes clothing security for select students in the Capistrano Unified School District. ALCV partners with district liaisons to identify in-need students, and local retail stores to host the shopping event. At the event students, along with their parents, have the opportunity to select appropriate school clothing/shoes that is paid for by ALCV. Whenever possible, these students also receive complimentary personal hygiene kits, provided by our Assisteens®.
Each Operation School Bell® event spans several days with dozens of ALCV members volunteering their time to faciliate this event. Since 1980, Assistance League of Capistrano Valley’s Operation School Bell® program has provided 1000s of in-need students with new school clothing. Annually, this program provides $80-100K in clothing for 600-1000 children.

The Assistance League of Capistrano Valley is proud to again offer our philanthropic program, Operation School Bell, for students in need of clothing.

- This event will be held on October 3-5 and October 10-12, 2023.
