
Operation School Bell
The Operation School Bell® philanthropy is Assistance League’s signature program. Individual chapters research specific needs in their local communities; then develop, fund and implement programs that support children in need.
The Operation School Bell® philanthropy promotes clothing security for select students in the Capistrano Unified School District. ALCV collaborates with two critical partners to execute this program annually. First, ALCV partners with district liaisons who identify qualified students at each of the school sites. Second, ALCV partners with local retail stores to host the shopping events. (We are currently working with WalMart and LABridal.) At the event students, along with their parents, have the opportunity to select appropriate school clothing that is then paid for by ALCV. Whenever possible, these students also receive complimentary personal hygiene kits, provided by our Assisteens®. Since 1980, Operation School Bell® has provided 1000s of students with new school clothing which has been shown to raise self-esteem and improve school attendance.

The Assistance League of Capistrano Valley is proud to again offer our philanthropic program, Operation School Bell, for students in need of clothing.
- Providing clothing at the San Clemente Walmart.
- This event will be held on September 16-18 and September 23-25, 2025.
